Product inspections and maintenance

Basic Policy

From the four stances of customer satisfaction, consumer protection, legal compliance, and environmental conservation, Duskin pursues customer satisfaction regarding (1) appearance, structure, and material safety, (2) performance and effect, (3) user-friendliness, (4) reliability and durability, and (5) appropriateness of labels through product inspection at the product development stage and analytical testing and hygiene inspection at the product development stage and after product sales.

Regarding all of the products and services Duskin provides to our customers, and with the aim of maintaining a Duskin brand image of secureness and reliability, we are also focusing on enhancing our inspection system by training personnel involved in the highly specialized inspection process.

Our product inspections

We implement inspections and testing for newly developed products, service products and renewal products, and some risk-potential national brand products to prevent the occurrence of defects that arise from design and quality.

Our labeling inspections

Regarding product labels, advertising materials, and user manuals that necessitate new versions accompanying new development or renewal, we implement labeling inspection based principally on legal compliance and prevent the occurrence of defects. To improve legal knowledge in the creation of advertising materials, we provide e-learning training oriented to advertising material creators covering the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations and the Act on Securing Quality, Efficacy and Safety of Products Including Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.

Our quality assurance activities

Cabinet towels: Sanitation quality is maintained through monthly spot checks of disinfection levels at all processing plants.
Self-inspections for food materials and products: To ensure the safety and security of food products Duskin provides, we perform sanitation inspections on food materials and products handled by the Food Group and other business divisions.

Our technology support

In response to requests from our various business divisions, the Quality Assurance and Risk Management Division implements measurement support, risk extraction, and claim cause investigation during the product development process from the specialist perspectives of product evaluation, analysis, and sanitation to improve the level of perfection for developed products and reduce the level of product risk.

Expanding our technology base

In order to use our existing industrial robots more in our reliability / usage evaluation testing, we promote programming training to increase movement accuracy that covers measurement testing of the load applied to mops and water purifiers during use.

In safety and analytical testing, we strive to improve analysis technology by conducting component identification using mold odors, tobacco odors, and air fresheners under the theme of linking sensory and instrumental analysis in odor analysis. Additionally, we have established a fiber anti-mold testing process and confirmed a good correlation in comparison to external testing bodies. This has allowed us to create a system that makes it possible to deploy internal company action for steps such as preliminary evaluations when applying for SEK mark certification.

Efforts in our service options

In our various services for families and businesses (including cleaning, housekeeping, pest control, and regular maintenance of garden trees), we conduct safety checks even up to the equipment and chemical agents each individual staff member uses.

Also, in the process of supplying services, we deploy efforts including training and internal company contests to maintain the quality and skill of our staff. In these ways, we strive daily to maintain and improve the service quality level.

Efforts in our general rental services

By thoroughly washing, disinfecting, and implementing maintenance and function and safety checks to products returned from renting, we ensure safety, peace of mind, and pleasantness for the next customer to use them.

Assistive products with legal sanitation requirements are managed appropriately, with steps including disinfecting with ozone, which is effective in sterilization and deodorization.

Inspection and testing overview

  • ・Product inspections:
    Evaluation of structural safety and user-friendliness focused mainly on rental products supplied to customers
  • ・Analytical testing:
    Using analytic equipment, numeric and visual representation of components and contaminants in food products as well as the change over time in developed air freshener agent components.
  • ・Sanitation inspections:
    Antimicrobial and antifungal evaluation of developed cleaning agents that use microbes and confirmation of compliance with hygiene standards prescribed by law for the food products we supply (via our own independent standards that are stricter than the law)
