Basic Policy

Based on the Duskin Group sustainability philosophy of "taking joy in fulfilling the expectations of society", we employ the path of supplying safe, secure, and excellent products and services in our mission to contribute to the sustainable development of communities that provide plentiful lives and put smiles on faces.

Linkage with local government

Duskin entered into a comprehensive partnership agreement with Osaka Prefecture in July 2021. This agreement was signed with the goal of further deepening the relationship of cooperative and collaborative actions between Duskin and Osaka Prefecture amidst the advancement of efforts aiming for progress, such as the actualization of unique and attractive communities through local development. Moving forward, we will work together towards energizing the community and improving service for Osaka Prefecture residents while promoting cooperation and collaboration across the seven areas of health, children and welfare, community revitalization, diversity and employment promotion, safety and peace-of-mind, the environment, and prefectural government PR.

• - Cooperation in promoting food safety and security (food hygiene control aligning with HACCP)
• - Cooperation in efforts to promote the usage of Osaka-sourced goods (Osakamon), etc.

"Rent-All" speedily supports evacuation site preparation during disasters

At nationwide branches, our Rent-All Business (comprehensive event support and rental service for various kinds of products) offers facility sanitation services necessary for opening local government facilities during disasters and the "Disaster Prevention Support Service" that provides support drawing on a network of 102 nationwide branches with approximately 100 kinds of rental products. We also contribute to the safety and peace of mind of communities by supporting the operation of disaster prevention training sites, sanitation measures, and equipment rental in preparation for disaster incidents.

The "Disaster Prevention Support Service" makes it possible to support the smooth opening of evacuation sites during disasters by preemptively entering into local government "Disaster Agreements" that include the supply of needed equipment.

(Wako Iki-iki Life Service Plaza)

Duskin participates in the "Gap Senior Consortium" organized by The Japan Research Institute, Limited. As part of that activity, Duskin entered into a public-private sector agreement with Wako City, Saitama Prefecture, and launched the "Wako Iki-iki Life Service Plaza" consultation service center in January 2016.

The Service Plaza provides fun and community-building opportunities for local seniors by holding events designed to prevent the need for care and improve lives. Additionally, in its role as a senior citizen living support center and consultation service, it supplies lifestyle-related information and both introduces and supplies products and services according to user needs.

We have started a new "Living Lab Initiative" with city resident participation, and are engaging in efforts to link the input from home-living senior citizens to new product and service development and improvement.

Contributing to promoting female participation and advancement

Housekeeping service "Merry Maids"

The Duskin Merry Maids business is a specialist housekeeping service. Our experienced staff members visit homes regularly and take care of cleaning and housekeeping in line with customer requests and situations. We also provide a service that regularly delivers daily necessities. Service is also possible during hours when the user is not at home. In fact, we help create relaxed lifestyles that match a wide array of customer living needs, including dual working households, single clients, clients busy balancing housekeeping with child raising, and even clients who want free time to start something new.

We will continue to develop and provide services based on customer needs as well as focus on expanding the number of franchisees to strengthen our service delivery system, aiming to grow our business while resolving issues in women's participation in society.

Contributing to preventing communications fraud damage

Order-made mat manufacturing and renting

The Duskin "Communications fraud damage prevention mat" contributes to preventing communications frauds such as refund frauds that occur frequently nationwide. In cooperation with the various regional police headquarters, we are promoting awareness-raising activities by offering these mats to financial institutions as products that provide warnings from underfoot.

To date we have manufactured over ten thousand order-made mats, and they have been placed in front of ATMs at financial institutions and convenience stores in prefectures nationwide.

Our customers have given this project immense praise, including comments such as, "In the quest to reduce communications fraud damage to zero, having the prefecture police department name on the mats is a very impactful feature." In addition, Duskin's crime prevention CSR activities using these mats were recognized in October 2016 by the National Crime Prevention CSR Promotion Council under the category of a "Crime Prevention CSR Practicing Company".
