DUSKIN 60th Anniversary

Duskin Strengths

The Duskin value creation model

We put the capital that we receive from society to effective use, devote ourselves to sowing the seeds of joy to the maximum extent possible, and in this way give something back to society. This is how we approach value creation in the Duskin Prayerful Management tradition.
Duskin actualizes a network of sowing the seeds of joy with our franchise business system as the core driving force, and constantly works to improve our corporate value.

The source of Duskin value creation

Five non-financial sources of capital actualize the idea of "profit is the reward of joyous transactions"

1. A sustainable franchise system

The core feature of Duskin is its role as the only franchise chain that values sharing our philosophy with franchisees and that has walked together with our franchisees through the ages as an organization sharing a common destiny. Duskin's greatest strength is a shared devotion amongst the headquarters and franchisees towards the goal of customers actualizing a life full of smiles and peace of mind.

2. A value chain that supports growth

In order to generate products and services with high added value, Duskin creates value chains stretching from research and development to procurement, production, sales, service, and recycling. Additionally, Duskin also focuses on quality improvement and environmental burden reduction that still maintain cost optimizing, as well as the cultivation of a workforce that can actualize these factors.

3. Systems that support safety and peace of mind

In order to deliver safe and secure products to the customer, we maintain a quality assurance system for all Duskin products and services ranging from the development stage up until even after the products and services are introduced into the market.
Products and services are introduced into the market only after undergoing the objective judgment of the development meetings regarding the safety and secureness of the product or service in the product and service development stage. Additionally, in development or specification changes for products and services that are particularly beholden to high standards of safety, such as food products, an obligation to confirm safeness in the Food Safety Council is required by internal company rules.

4. Contributing to the creation of a recycling society through our rental system

Duskin instilled the cleaning equipment rental system in Japan, and it continues conducting business activities under the philosophies of appreciating and conserving goods and tools, reusing, using communally, reducing, and not throwing things away.
In order to keep contributing to the formation of a recycling society, we collect used mops and mats at a rate of 100% and repurpose as products at a rate of 97% after factory washing. We recycle the 3% that cannot be repurposed to ensure they are used as much as possible until the very end. Dust and dirt on mops and mats are recycled as cement material and used effectively.

5. Workers that are deeply trusted in their regions

At Duskin, we focus on cultivating workers for the franchisees that provide our services. Most of the owners and staff members at our franchisees operate in the regions in which they were born and raised, and are the most versed in the market characteristics for their own region. These franchisee owners and staff members infuse themselves with Duskin service quality know-how and aim to be "the best shop in the region".
